Founded in 2001 by a group of childhood friends from Haiti, Patriote de la Zone has grown from a shared dream into a beacon of hope for the children of the Vergeon Valley in Jacmel, Haiti. Initially focused on offering education to underserved children, our school now serves nearly 600 students, PreK – 9th grade.

Our mission has always been to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and develop the skills necessary to become productive members of their community. The vision of our founders, supported by a network of generous donors over the years, has been instrumental in making our success possible. Thanks to their unwavering faith and support, we’ve been able to provide quality education in a region facing significant social and political challenges.

Education is a powerful tool in shaping the future of Haiti, and we are proud to be part of that transformation. In a country where the adult literacy rate is just 61%, learning to read and write is more than an academic achievement — it is a path to a brighter, more promising future. For our students, their families, and the wider community, Patriote de la Zone represents hope — a tangible sign that their dreams for a better future are within reach.
